De Aston School

The Lego Club at De Aston School got in touch to ask for a donation towards their Lego Club to buy new kits. The club was started to help students to get the day off to a good start and in a positive mood. Rather than a monetary donation, we went one better and supplied them with a Lego Defender kit

At Duckworth Motor Group, we’re proud to extend our support beyond the automotive world into education, particularly through our ongoing sponsorship of De Aston School in Market Rasen. As a long-standing business with deep roots in Lincolnshire, we feel a strong responsibility to give back and invest in the future of our local community.

De Aston School is an 11–18 academy based in Market Rasen. Known for its caring environment and commitment to academic excellence, the school encourages students to “Believe. Strive. Achieve.” Through our partnership, Duckworth supports initiatives that help the school deliver on that promise, especially within STEM and practical learning.

One concrete example of our contribution is to the De Aston School Tech Club. As part of our sponsorship, Duckworth gifted a Lego Land Rover kit to the students. This fun and educational resource not only sparks their interest in automotive engineering and design, but also gives them hands-on experience building, coding, and problem-solving, vital skills for the future. It’s a small but meaningful way to bridge our business expertise with the school’s ambition to nurture young talent.

Our investment in De Aston School goes deeper than just materials. Duckworth is dedicated to supporting the professional development of young people from the school. We are proud to count Jacob Moore, a former De Aston pupil, among our success stories: he became a Duckworth apprentice and went on to shine in the JLR Apprentice of the Year Awards. His achievements are a testament to how sponsorship can open real pathways into careers.

Beyond encouraging academic growth, our sponsorship aligns with Duckworth’s broader community values. As a family-run, engineering-minded business, we understand the importance of education, skill development, and social responsibility. By supporting De Aston School, we are helping to equip young people in Lincolnshire with the tools and confidence to succeed, whether they go on to apprenticeships, further education, or careers in engineering.

We look forward to continuing our partnership and exploring new ways to collaborate with De Aston School, from fundraising and mentoring to hands-on STEM projects.
