Duckworth Motor Group is honoured to support the Wyberton Wombles of Boston Common, a dedicated community group that works tirelessly to keep Boston and Wyberton litter-free. Their mission to protect the local environment, improve public spaces, and promote civic pride aligns closely with our values,  and this partnership is one we deeply believe in.

The Wyberton Wombles began as a grassroots volunteer effort led by Steve Slater and Steph Leyland, growing from humble beginnings on Facebook to a community force of over 1,400 members. Every week, these volunteers collect hundreds of bags of litter across the borough — their work is not just about rubbish, but about building friendships, improving footpaths, and restoring pride to neglected areas.

Our sponsorship helps the Wombles in very practical ways. With Duckworth’s support, the group has been able to purchase essential equipment: high-visibility vests, litter-picking tools, hoops, and waste bags. This kit ensures volunteers can work safely and effectively, allowing them to expand their reach and make a real difference in more areas.

Beyond the tangible items, Duckworth is proud to promote the spirit and impact of the Wombles throughout our network. We regularly highlight their community clean-ups, encourage our staff and customers to get involved, and celebrate their successes on our channels.
