Young Farmers
Spalding Young Farmers requested a donation of a raffle prize for their Christmas Campaign. We were happy to help with a donation of an Imp & Maker Hamper. We also went along with one of our cars to take part in the Christmas Tractor Run.
Supporting Spalding Young Farmers
At Duckworth, we’ve always believed in supporting the people and organisations that help bring our community together, especially when it comes to local initiatives that involve teamwork, skill‑building and giving back. That’s why we were delighted to support Spalding Young Farmers in their recent Christmas campaign by providing a raffle prize donation and joining in their festive tractor run with one of our vehicles.
Young Farmers’ Clubs are part of the National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs (NFYFC), one of the UK’s largest rural youth organisations. These clubs offer young people aged roughly 10 to 28 the opportunity to socialise, develop new skills, take part in competitions, learn more about agriculture and rural life, and make a positive contribution to their local community.
Although they’re called “Young Farmers,” membership isn’t limited to those from farming families, anyone who loves rural life and wants to get involved is welcome to join. Across the country, Young Farmers’ Clubs help young people build confidence, leadership skills and friendships that last a lifetime, while also contributing to local events, fundraising and community activities.
This year, when the Spalding Young Farmers reached out asking for support with their Christmas raffle, we were happy to help by donating an Imp & Maker Hamper that helped raise funds for their club activities. We also took part in their tractor run, a fun and festive way the group bring members, families and the wider community together at the end of the year.
At Duckworth, we’re proud to invest in local youth organisations like Young Farmers. Supporting initiatives that encourage young people to get involved, learn new skills and feel connected to their community is something we actively champion and we look forward to backing Spalding Young Farmers again in the future.
