We Reveal the 2024 Discovery Sport

The Discovery Sport 2024 model adopts a simplified product offer both in terms of powertrain offering and range structure, streamlined into two distinctive and refreshed looks – Discovery Sport and Discovery Sport Dynamic. Both feature fully painted lower sills and wheel arches, paired with an all-new front grille, and the Discovery Sport features body-coloured lower sills and wheel arches paired with bright exterior accents.

The subtly re-named Dynamic delivers head-turning looks with gloss black painted lower sills and wheel arches, with a new Dynamic air vent treatment visually linking it to the Discovery Dynamic.

As part of the brand’s direction, exterior badging is much reduced and deletion of all powertrain and Dynamic badges. The Land Rover oval is removed from the back of the car leaving the Discovery script, and the Sport badge.

Interior changes provide a bold reductive design with new larger touchscreen, toggle gear shift and a revised console allowing for improved centre console stowage both in terms of size and useability.

The Discovery Sport S models receive revised front and rear bumpers, along with body-coloured painted lowers and wheel arch claddings to replace the previous grey plastic covers and new silver atlas discovery script. Door mirrors are now always in gloss black too.

The Discovery Sport R-Dynamic becomes Discovery Sport Dynamic. Signalling this change, the exterior is strikingly refreshed.

New safety regulations (GSR2) aimed at better protection of passengers, pedestrians and cyclists come into force during the 2024 model year and therefore all 22024 models will include a set of enhanced driving aids and safety features across several features. Examples of these include:

  • Forward Collision Alert
  • Lane Keep Assist
  • New Speed Limit Notification

Following the addition of the Black Exterior Pack to the R-Dynamic in 2021 the bold design theme is extended to the lower bodyline, with the door sills and wheel arches painted in gloss black, visually drawing the car down into a sporty powerful stance. And front air intakes gain new strakes in the black gloss.

The front and rear tow-eye covers, previously in gloss black are now presented in body colour, which delivers a strong design statement.

A black contrast roof is a standard feature on all dynamic models.

The simplified 3-derivative range structure comprises S, Dynamic SE and Dynamic HSE. Deliveries of these new vehicles will begin at the end of September. Let us know what you think of the changes.
